The 2021 Old Vine Rosé opens with notes of pomelo, white peach, and red cherry bubble gum that are echoed on the palate. The entry is bright with a subtle oak influence complemented by juicy acidity. This complex rosé can be enjoyed now or over the next 3-5 years.
Pair with this month’s featured recipe: Bruschetta with Ricotta, Arugula, and Prosciutto.
Our old vine rosé is from a single block of Grenache planted in 1973. Sourced from Zaca Mesa’s Mariposa-C block, one of the original blocks in this vineyard. These vines produce very little fruit and struggle to ripen to the extent that one would want for a red wine, which makes them perfect for making a high quality rosé.
